Yearoutindia teaching programs are based in small rural
schools located high up in the western ghats mountain
ranges. You can get involved in taking normal classes,
assisting the teaching staff, conducting extra curricular
activities like Clay modeling, Painting, Drawing, Singing,
Drama, Dancing, Group work, Sports camps or other similar activities.
Your help and assistance will be greatly appreciated in
these rural schools and will be a refreshing change to
existing curriculum.

Caring
For Orphans:

Typical NGO or state run orphanages
are full to the brim with children. With limited staff,
resources and facilities they are struggling to provide
care, love and support to the children. Being hugely understaffed,
they have few learning activities or extra curricular activities.
Yearoutindia through its domestic and international volunteers
are able to provide these struggling orphanages with support
and help. These could be in the form of improving their
existing facilities, assisting the staff, teaching, and
helping with its general running and administration. Volunteers
usually help in refurbishing existing buildings, improving
facilities, teaching basic english, drawing, drama and conducting
games etc.

Commuinity development programs are conducted
to assist communities who are outside of regular funding mechanisms,
to meet their tangible needs such as construction of housing,
schools, and clinics, education and literacy programs, and
to provide assistance for children and youth. Yearoutindia
volunteers work as partners with indigenous host communities
by providing the initative, materials, labor, and specialised
assistance needed to enable these communities to achieve and
sustain their own development goals. As a volunteer, your
skills will be matched to the project that needs you most.

Forest
Conservation Programs:

Yearoutindia
Forest conservations programs are conducted in partnership
and under the guidance of various conservation enthusiasts.
Programs are varied and could include species count, monitoring
the effects of deforestation mainly due to the clearing
of trees of commercial significance. Volunteers will be
directly under the guidance of the local expert and supported
by the volunteer coordinator.

Wildlife
conservations programs are conducted in partnership and under
the guidance of various conservation enthusiasts. These programs
are will be in forest areas along the western ghats in south
India. Volunteers will be directly under the guidance of the
local experts and staff. Programs are varied and could include
wildlife observation, monitoring, Data gathering, Identification
and classification of insects, reptiles and endangered animals
and monitor the effects of human settlements and poaching.

Yearoutindia
"Do it all" programs give volunteers an opprotunity
to take part in many different types of volunteering activities
within the limited time they have. These programs are planned
and scheduled on a week to week basis and could involve
the volunteer taking part in a community development project
in a rural village one week, to spending two weeks in a
wild and remote forest area the other.
