"Of the 95,000 villages yet to be connected to electricity in India, 18,000 villages most likely never would, due to their remoteness" (United Nations Development Program Fact sheet - 2008)

Two volunteers from New Zealand (Jenny Baker and Clare Blackman) have taken on the Yearoutndia Solar Light Project challenge to light up the lives of 30 tribal families at the Mannan Tribal Settlement in the western Ghat Mountains of Kerala, South India.

All the funds raised will go directly to the project and they are looking for other volunteers from New Zealand to join them on this trip. Please contact them on Jenny@yearoutindia.com
